Communications and Engagement Officer

BAVO is about to launch our new strategy and forward programme of work and we are looking for someone who can lead and transform our digital comms and pull together the marketing and engagement work of the organisation.

Our new officer will have a can-do attitude, be dynamic and will already have a wealth of social media and digital tools in their skill set in order to hit the ground running with some pieces of work.

 

 

 

We offer:

  • £29,269 pa pro rata
  • 26 + 8 bank holidays (pro rata if applicable)

BAVO is looking for enthusiastic individuals with relevant skills and experience to join the BAVO board of trustees and help steer the charity’s future development. We wish to reflect the diversity of our communities and welcome applications from under-represented groups.

Employability Bridgend

Employability Bridgend help both employed and unemployed residents of Bridgend County Borough who need support with employability. They can support you to improve your skills and get a new or better job. The service includes providing:

  • free training and qualifications
  • supported job search
  • CV development including volunteering placements

The training can include increasing ‘soft’ skills such as confidence and interview techniques, or vocational qualifications such as CSCS cards and Teaching Assistant qualifications. The training is client-led, so you can access help that is relevant to you. They may also be able to provide support for work-related costs, such as:

  • transport to work until you are paid
  • clothing, for example work shoes

Employability Bridgend is  community-based and meets clients in venues all around the Borough. The programme is funded through Welsh Government and European Social Fund. For help with employability, E:   or to visit the Employability Bridgend Facebook page.
