Post: Third Sector Development Officer 
Salary: £24,012  per annum pro rata  (37 hrs pw)  
Annual leave 25 days + 8 bank holidays (pro rata where applicable)
Pension: 8% non-contributory
Fixed term to 31.03.2023 (subject to ongoing funding)
Location: Maesteg with agile working (community and home)
Extended Closing date:  20th October 2021, 2pm

The Post holder will provide training, support and guidance to local voluntary and community groups .

The postholder will lead on digital and published communications, events, media and engagement activity.  The role may suit someone passionate about marketing and communications and interested in starting a career in this area of work

Post: Mental Health Development Officer
Salary:     £24,012 (37 hrs per week)

The potholder will promote partnership working to contribute to local and regional plans by:

  • Supporting third sector organisations to work together to identify and address gaps and take advantage of opportunities to develop new services for people of all ages. 
  • Facilitating partnership working through the involvement of third sector organisations in the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of services. 
  • Connecting with stakeholders to support co-production and service development and improvements in line with healthy needs/population assessments

Post: Mental Health Service User Involvement Officer (Lead)
Salary:     £25,481 (37 hrs per week)  
Annual leave 25 days + 8 bank holidays (pro rata where applicable)

The postholder will  set up systems and processes to ensure  the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health services including mental health service users,  unpaid carers / relevant family members, to share feedback on existing services, identify gaps and needs, and work in a positive way to help design and improve mental health services.

Kickstart Scheme funding for employers to create new six month job placements for young people (16-24)

The Department for Works & Pensions has launched the Kickstart Scheme to provide funding to employers to create new six month job placements for young people (16-24) who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. Find out more here.


Employability Bridgend

Employability Bridgend help both employed and unemployed residents of Bridgend County Borough who need support with employability. They can support you to improve your skills and get a new or better job. The service includes providing:

  • free training and qualifications
  • supported job search
  • CV development including volunteering placements

The training can include increasing ‘soft’ skills such as confidence and interview techniques, or vocational qualifications such as CSCS cards and Teaching Assistant qualifications. The training is client-led, so you can access help that is relevant to you. They may also be able to provide support for work-related costs, such as:

  • transport to work until you are paid
  • clothing, for example work shoes
