Did you know in 2020/21, local organisations were awarded over £488,259 through BAVO managed grant schemes and received £250,195 following BAVO funding support?
We know most voluntary and community groups are heavily dependent on grant funding in order to keep their services running or to develop new projects. Applying for funding can be complicated, confusing and difficult to understand but we can help you through it! We share our insight, knowledge and experience as bid writers, grant assessors and panel members so that you have the best chance of success.
We also work closely with funders to make sure we have up-to-date information on their programmes and funding processes and they sometimes ask us to provide information on local applicants.
Throughout the year we host funding sessions that offer one-to-one advice with funders such as the Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Coalfields Regeneration Trust – keep an eye out for details of our future funding surgeries.

If you register on our funding portal, you can put in details of the amount of funding you are looking for and what you want to fund. The system will do the hard work for you and search though hundreds of grant and loan opportunities to find the most appropriate funders for you.
The portal includes local, national and international funders and has recently been updated to include a new ‘coronavirus’ category.

The National Lottery Community Fund is offering all voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations (VCSEs) in the UK an opportunity to analyse their organisational strengths and position and to identify areas that could be developed to improve organisational strength through their diagnostic tool, the VCSE Strength Checker.
