Link Up online workshop: Committee members (trustees) roles and responsibilities

Thursday 24 June 2021 from 10am – 12 noon (online via Zoom)
Cost: free of charge
Booking deadline: 5pm, 17 June 2021

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, our Link Up Project aims to strengthen voluntary third sector governance and skills development, by helping trustees and board/committee members to become more confident in their roles.

If you are a committee member of a community, charitable or voluntary organisation you have legal liabilities and responsibilities of which you may not be aware.

This workshop is for committee members / trustees/ Directors of voluntary, community and charity groups and organisations.

We all need to update, develop and refresh our knowledge and awareness over time to:

  • confidently and efficiently run your organisation;
  • understand and mitigate your legal liabilities as a committee member (legally known as a trustee); and
  • meet your responsibilities.

No matter how experienced you are as a trustee, or how long you’ve been a member of your committee, there are lots of new developments in the world of charity governance in Wales that you need to keep abreast of.

By the end of this short and interactive workshop you will understand:

  • what roles and responsibilities you have;
  • how to limit potential risks;
  • the principles of good governance;
  • the roles of specific officers.

This is an ONLINE session via Zoom (we can help you to access and install Zoom IN ADVANCE of the event if you need support to do that).
