This course is for volunteers and staff in the voluntary (third) sector. It aims to raise awareness of safeguarding generally and develop participants understanding of and confidence about:

• their own role in relation to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm abuse and neglect;
• how to recognise different types of harm, abuse and neglect;
• how individuals are protected from harm abuse and neglect.
