Trustees (sometimes called board or committee members) play a vital role in guiding voluntary and community organisations. They help set a clear strategy, ensure activities align with the organisation’s vision, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
Being a trustee can be incredibly rewarding. It’s a chance to:
Shape the direction and work of an organisation you care about
Use your skills and experience for a good cause
Learn from others and grow your knowledge
Be part of a passionate and diverse team
Working with others who bring different ideas and perspectives is often one of the most enjoyable and inspiring parts of being a trustee.
