Board members of all charities have a collective legal responsibility to manage their organisation’s finances prudently. This can seem like a big challenge – but it doesn’t have to be!

Whether you’re a new Board member or have some experience, this  2 hour online session will help you understand the benefits of careful planning, and regular review  of your organisation’ s financial situation.  It will show you how to make the most of what funding you’ve got, and how to avoid getting into financial difficulties.

Led by a qualified and experienced financial manager, the workshop will use ordinary everyday English so that you don’t get put off  by technical terms.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, our Link Up Project aims to strengthen voluntary third sector governance and skills development. Our work helps Trustees and board/committee members to become more confident in their roles.

This session will help you to:

  • Understand your financial responsibilities
  • Consider the Board’s financial planning cycle
  • help you understand the process of reviewing your organisations financial position

This is an ONLINE session via Zoom.

BAVO can help you to access and install Zoom IN ADVANCE of the event.  If you need support to do that,  please call us on 01656 810400.

The workshop is free to BAVO members, and £25 to non-member organisations.
