Emmaus South Wales recruiting volunteers for local charity shops reopening in July

Emmaus South Wales is looking for volunteers for their charity shops in Bridgend, Maesteg and Porthcawl which are reopening mid/late July.

They are looking for:

  • volunteers to support the van drivers three days a week (10am to 4pm) and help collect and deliver preloved furniture;
  • volunteers to process stock – helping to sort, clean and process donations. Selecting stock for online sales, ensure stock is quality and safety checked, processing gift aid (after three months sit PAT testing training);
  • volunteers for the shop floor – working face to face with customers serving on the tills, answering the phone and merchandising/creating in store displays.

Emmaus Land Train

  • Volunteers with Class D licences to help drive the Land Train operation in Porthcawl.

Emmaus can cover travel expenses in line with their volunteer expense policy.
