Happy New Year! Bridgend funding available for local groups - don't miss out!

Take a look at our latest e-bulletin to find out applying for:

  • Transformation 'Connected Communities' Large Grant Scheme April 2020 - March 2021;
  • 2020-2021 capital funding available - Cwm Taf Morgannwg Integrated Care Fund;
  • Volunteering Youth Led Grants offering up to £2,000;
  • Up to a maximum of £3,000 available for community or voluntary groups in Pen-y-fai, Wildmill and Laleston

We also have a day of pre-booked appointments organised by BAVO in collaboration with BBC Children in Need. Don't miss the opportunity to access this very popular funding programme which is open to voluntary and community groups that work with disadvantaged children and young people. Groups serving Bridgend County Borough can apply for a 30 minute appointment with James Bird, a BBC Children in Need grants officer, to discuss the eligibility and potential of a project proposal.

Starting in February, we are holding monthly funding drop-in sessions at Bridgend Volunteer Centre. Pop in to speak to our BAVO Development Officer who will provide you with funding support and guidance.

Our e-bulletin also includes information on national funds, and how funders can find you by joining a national third sector 'infoengine' database.

November 2019 special awards edition!

We recognised and celebrated the great volunteering that is happening across the local area at our annual Bridgend County Borough Volunteer Achievement Awards at the Heronston Hotel in Bridgend.

Volunteers deliver services in the heart of our local communities. They make it easier for people to get the support they need and also improve other people’s wellbeing. They take on a wide range of tasks, giving their time to make their community a better place, yet often receiving little, if any recognition for their commitment and support. They make a real difference to charities and ultimately to people’s lives and BAVO were delighted to be able to recognise their hard work and achievements.
