Meet the Funder – Postcode Community Trust

Postcode Community Trust provides unrestricted funding of up to £25,000 to charities and good causes across Wales. Thanks to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, over £3 million was distributed to good causes across Wales in 2024.
A member of the Community Programmes Team at People’s Postcode Lottery will be at this session to answer any questions about the application process, eligibility criteria and funding rounds of Postcode Community Trust.

Finding the Good – Commissioning Conversations

Make your voice heard by joining BAVO, Lloyds Bank Foundation, and Cwmpas for an online consultation event exploring commissioning from a local perspective. 

We know small charities face inconsistency, underfunding & pressure to fill gaps, with some even closing their doors and we recognise it’s time for change! 

This event brings together commissioners & sector voices to discuss barriers, solutions & the future of commissioning.

Trustee Network (in-person)

The Trustee Network is an opportunity for Trustees to meet and share experiences and learn from each other.  In addition, the Network covers a range of topics relevant to being a trustee including good governance, finding funding, updates from the Charity Commission, training opportunities and other information.
The network operates with an “in person” daytime session and an evening “on line” session (see here).

The Green Network

If you’ve got an interest in green/blue climate & conservation issues support nature & the environment, or offer nature for wellbeing opportunities why not become part of our multi-agency “Green Network”.

The Network meets every few months, at a local community venue, and is a great opportunity to connect with others, learn from each other and address issues such as climate change.

ADHD Peer Support Groups

Our ADHD Peer Support forum provides informal peer support for those who are neurodivergent, information and seek feedback on services within the Bridgend area.

No formal diagnosis is needed to attend and we provide tea, coffee and biscuits in all our sessions.

Drugs, Alcohol, Mental Health Services Network

The Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Services Network (DAMHSN) [dam-sen] is a third sector network that brings together:

  • Local and national organisations who work in the field of mental health and mental wellbeing;
  • Workers, volunteers and volunteers that are involved in supporting people and/or working to combat substance misuse issues.

The network creates opportunities to discuss current issues, potential joint projects, maximising service opportunities and avoiding duplication of work. It is also an opportunity for the wider voluntary sector, which provides services to people who may also have mental health issues, to link in, share information and work in partnership.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg Third Sector Mental Health Forum

This network brings together the voluntary and community sector from across Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county boroughs and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

The aim is to guide, monitor and facilitate the coordinated approach required to deliver the national Together for Mental Health Strategy.
