At BAVO, our Partnerships Team connects voluntary and community organisations with local health and statutory services to help improve the lives and wellbeing of people across Bridgend County and the Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) region.
We work closely with GPs, health boards, hospitals, and local authorities to strengthen local health services and promote preventative care. Through our Health, Social Care & Wellbeing Network, we bring organisations and volunteers together to:
Support health and wellbeing services
Encourage co-production and collaboration
Share key updates across sectors
Ensure local voices are heard in consultations and decision-making
We support organisations working with children, young people, and families to co-design and improve services. Our Children, Young People & Families Network helps:
Highlight key concerns like neurodiversity and learning disabilities
Share information and identify service gaps
Build strategic priorities across sectors
Work collaboratively with Welsh Government, regional partnerships, and public services
We partner with individuals with lived experience and mental health service providers to improve support across the region. Our work includes:
Running forums such as the Service User Network, Neurodiversity Peer Support Group, and Substance Misuse Network
Supporting the Regional Third Sector Mental Health Forum
Leading the Together4MentalHealth multi-agency forum
If you are an individual or group whose aim is to promote mental health or provide a service for people with a mental health issue within Bridgend County Borough you can connect with the mental health networks listed below.
We can give you information, training and advice on mental health policy, funding etc. If you are a mental health service user, or a carer, we work with other agencies in mental health service planning to best fulfill the needs of service users and carers.
If you want to set up a group we can give you advice about getting started and provide you with resources and access to other specialist groups who might be able to help you further.
