Vision & Transformation Workshop

Published: 26 August 2026

We are pleased to invite BAVO members to a workshop with BAVO CEO, Heidi Bennett and CEO of BCBC, Jake Morgan to discuss the developing ‘Vision and Transformation’ Strategy: Bridgend County Borough 2040. There are limited tickets available, so please book NOW to have your say!

๐Ÿ“… Date: Tuesday 22 September 2026
โฐ Time: 10.00amโ€“1.00pm
๐Ÿ“ Venue: Committee Rooms, Civic Centre, Angel Street, Bridgend

The Council is currently developing a long-term vision and Transformation Strategy which will set out its aims and ambitions for the future of Bridgend County Borough and help shape how the Council works with communities and partners, including third sector, voluntary and community groups to respond to the challenges and opportunities ahead.

We would particularly value the views and experience of BAVO members in helping us to test and strengthen the emerging vision.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to consider:
  • whether the vision reflects the aspirations of communities across the county borough
  • whether there are important issues, challenges or opportunities that are missing
  • where the vision could be strengthened or developed further
  • what this could mean for the role of the voluntary and community sector and its contribution to the future of Bridgend

We will circulate a draft summary of the developing strategy to attendees ahead of the workshop, to provide some context and enable you to come prepared to share your views.

We hope you will be able to join us and contribute to this important conversation about the future of Bridgend. Places are limited, so please make sure you book via the Eventbrite link to have your say.
To ensure we are getting wide coverage, we are allowing up to 2 tickets per organisation.
