We’re offering funding to help sustain and strengthen local action on food poverty.
Both capital and revenue costs can be covered. Most grants are up to £4,000, though in exceptional cases, the panel may consider more.
Small capital works – e.g. minor refurbishments or kitchen upgrades
Cooking facilities & equipment – ovens, hobs, blenders, slow cookers
Storage solutions – shelving, fridges, freezers
Food supplies – fresh, frozen, or non-perishable items
Training – Food Hygiene, Nutrition, and similar skills courses
Your application should show:
Why the funding is needed and how it adds value to your existing work
Who you’ll reach and how you’ll target those most in need
Sustainability – what happens when the grant ends
Impact – how you’ll measure success (data, case studies, feedback)
Partnership working – linking with local services and avoiding duplication
Match funding – not essential, but viewed positively
Successful applicants will be (or become) members of the Bridgend Sustainable Food Partnership, helping to:
Share resources and referrals
Work alongside community navigators, food banks, health providers, veterans’ services, homelessness charities, and others
Build an integrated, effective local food support system
