Winter of Wellbeing

As part of the Welsh Governments Winter of Wellbeing programme, BAVO and BCBC are working together to ensure that community groups can play a part in offering a broad range of activities within their communities. There are grants available of up to £1500 to support established community groups and organisations to offer free activities for children and young people during February and March of 2022.

The Winter of Wellbeing programme is supporting increased opportunities for children and young people up to 24 years of age and there is a particular focus on those young people who might have found the pandemic most challenging. This might include young people living in deprived areas, those living with disabilities or additional needs, young people with caring responsibilities or living in isolated areas. The activities could include play, sport, youth work, cultural activities or leisure opportunities. Groups who have already received support from this fund will not be eligible for additional funding.

Successful applicants should be aware that Welsh Government will be seeking information from them on the activities that have been provided and details of those participating to support their research of the Winter of Wellbeing investments across Wales.
