Digital training exclusively for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups

After having a successful 6 week ‘Essential Digital Skills Course’, Digital Communities Wales has launched a Digitally Connected Communities pilot programme exclusively for minority ethnic communities.

The training programme lasts for six months and will cover a range of topics that help to break down barriers and get communities online. In between monthly training sessions, Digital Communities Wales will host collaborative forums. Here, you can connect with other organisations working on the project, to share your triumphs, signpost to useful services and build a strong support network for digitally-excluded communities. To complete the course, we’ll be hosting a final celebration forum, where you can celebrate your new-found skills and the good you’ve accomplished over the past six months!

Training includes:

  • Getting to know you
  • Basics of the Web / Different Devices
  • Online Safety
  • Critical Thinking
  • Inspiring Digital – Citizen Engagement
  • Creating/ Maintaining Digital Companions in your Communities
