FareShare Cymru will be working with participating Tesco stores across South Wales 21 - 23 November 2019, including stores in central Cardiff, Bridgend, and Swansea. Previously, their partnership has seen over 1,500 volunteers collect food to provide millions of meals for vulnerable people nationwide. On average, a volunteer will collect enough food for 600 meals in just three hours.

This year they are looking for more lovely volunteers to sacrifice a few hours to help collect food and provide balanced and nutritious meals for people living in food poverty.

Volunteers will encourage shoppers to buy additional items of food from the ‘FareShare Shopping List’. They ask for donations of store cupboard essentials, such as tinned food, pasta, and tea, to complement the fresh food we receive from the food industry. This food will be distributed directly to FareShare Cymru's partner charities in South Wales who will use it to feed some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Tesco also kindly pay a 20% financial top-up on all the food that is donated, so that your donation and hard work goes even further.
