Tŷ Hafan's chain of charity shops raise vital funds to help them provide unique care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families.

Their network of shops across Mid and South Wales provides 27% of their income and, with new items to donated goods such as clothes, furniture, books, toys and DVDs, their varied stock offers local communities the chance to grab themselves some great bargains.

Each shop is supported and supplied by their warehouse, based in Horsefair Road on the outskirts of the Bridgend town. Their warehouse staff and volunteers are vital to their operation, as they sort donated stock, collect and distribute donated furniture and generally ensure that all stock is sorted and stored safely and efficiently.

Tŷ Hafan really care about what their supporters donate and want to make the maximum income for it, which is why they rely on their  army of volunteers to help them do this. The work the volunteers do is really varied and some of it quite specialised.  As well as helping them sort the vast amount of clothing, books, vinyl, records, books, furniture and a whole host of other items, they are also looking for people who may have a specialised knowledge or a particular interest in the kind of items they have in their warehouse. If there are any gifted e-Bayers out there, they’d love you to come to the warehouse and help them sell some of their more valuable stock online.

In addition to their warehouse, Tŷ Hafan also have volunteer opportunities at their Tŷ Hafan shop, located in Bridgend town centre in the Rhiw Shopping Centre, which always needs an extra hand selling their varied stock.
