Advocacy Support Cymru (ASC) is looking for individuals who believe even those experiencing poor mental health should understand their rights and have their voice heard.

They are a registered charity that specialises in the provision of professional, confidential and independent advocacy for those eligible in secondary care and community mental health settings.

ASC pays trustees reasonable travel expenses.

Trustees are required to attend five meetings a year in their head office in Cardiff that are held during working hours and are normally around two hours long. Additionally, Trustees attend an annual away day generally held in September / October.

They positively welcome and encourage applications from all people and particularly those who have experienced mental health issues.

In order to bolster their current Board of Trustees, they are particularly interested in receiving applications from those with specific skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Finance;
  • Business/Management.

There is no fixed deadline as we are always on the lookout for energetic and motivated Trustees to join their Board.
