BAVO’s Link Up project is hosting a second free of charge, informal on-line get together for trustees to share their thoughts and concerns with each other and to discuss possible ways forward . Mentors from the Link Up project who have a range of different business skills will also be present.  

Trustees who attended our first cuppa and chat session on 2 July fed back to us that they found it helpful and supportive to share their concerns about emerging from lockdown into “new normal” and to learn from each others’ experiences and knowledge. They asked us to run similar sessions on a monthly basis and we’re responding to that request.

We know trustees are continuing to wonder about questions such as: 

  • How can we provide our services to the community in a safe way in future?
  • How can we risk assess our premises?
  • How will we be able to operate and maintain social distancing in the premises we use?
  • What about cleaning?
  • Do we have enough staff / volunteers to operate the services we need to provide?
  • Will our existing business plan take us through the next year ok or will we need to adapt it?
  • What impact has lockdown had on our financial plan and do we need to adapt it?
  • How can we use technology to help us move forward during the next few months? Do we have the equipment and /or the skills?

Like our first session, this one will  be hosted using Zoom. It's very simple to use; all you need to join in is a smartphone, tablet, laptop or pc with camera.  You need to provide your own tea or coffee!!
