Thursday 30 January 2020 from 10am - 1pm
Museum of Cardiff - The Old Library, Trinity Street, Cardiff, CF10 1BH

The Alzheimer’s Society, Improvement Cymru and Social Care Wales would like to invite you to a workshop to help them improve how they communicate with people living with dementia and their carers.

As partners, they would like to work with you to set out the best way to engage people living with dementia, their families and carers in our work.

They are looking to map what networks and groups are currently out there, including on social media and the best way to link to those groups. Join them this event to help them build their understanding and to help them all work together to share opportunities and make the best connections possible. The purpose of the workshop will be to explore:

  • Building a shared purpose across Wales;
  • Current ways in which we engage with people with dementia and families, including media and social media;
  • Identifying and working with local networks;
  • Building an ongoing infrastructure for engagement;

This work is to help shape a communications and engagement plan for their national Dementia Learning and Development Group. This work links to the National Dementia Action Plan for Wales.
