Young People's Partnership.
Bridgend County Young People's Partnership was established in 2002 in response to the Welsh Assembly Government's Guidance "Extending Entitlement - Support for 11 to 25 year olds in Wales".
Young People's Partnership
The focus of the Young People's Partnership is to develop a common framework of values, objectives and priorities to tackle uneven provision, raise standards, and improve quality of outcomes for all young people through the development of services via inter agency planning.
The young people's partnership should focus on the universal entitlements of all young people aged 11-25 as described in Extending Entitlement.
This is to be achieved by all sectors working in partnership to join up services to achieve maximum effect and avoid duplication.
BAVO facilitates an Extending Entitlement Network (EEN) for any voluntary or community group whose work involves or covers the 11-25 yrs age range.
Meetings are usually held bi-monthly and they enable like-minded groups to come together to discuss, strategies, funding opportunities and other issues and to also feed into the local planning process by having a voice on the multi-agency Young Peoples Partnership.
