Teenage boy and girlMillennium Volunteer Programme (14 - 25)

The Millennium Volunteer Programme is for volunteers aged between 14 -25. It gives young people encouragement and recognition for the volunteering that they do. Accreditation by Welsh Government, this is an innovative scheme which emphasises the volunteering achievements of young people.

Through volunteering, young volunteers can get certificates for completing 50, 100 and 200 hours. The 200 hour certificate is the Award of Excellence and has the print signature of Carwyn Jones, the Welsh First Minister.

Out of pocket expenses are paid to all Millennium Volunteers including travel and childcare costs.

If you are aged 14-25 and looking to volunteer, or indeed, if you are an organisation wishing to recruit younger volunteers, call Geraint at BAVO’s Bridgend Volunteer Centre, T: 01656 660372 or E:
