Suncredit 'Community Benefit' Fund supports communities immediately affected by solar farm

Grants may be awarded for capital or revenue up to a maximum of £3,000.
Applications for the Fund need to be received by 2pm, 8 February 2019.
This small fund supports the communities immediately affected by the development of the Solar Farm, these being *Pen-y-fai, *Wildmill and *Laleston (*areas of benefit)
The Community Benefit Fund is being administered by BAVO the umbrella body for all local community and voluntary groups in Bridgend County Borough.
Who can apply?
The Community Benefit Fund is available to any community or voluntary group within the area of benefit* above. The fund aims to support them to carry out the aims and objectives of their organisation/s, recruit new members, involve more people from the community in volunteering and help to develop activities and/or community improvements. Only one application can be submitted per funding round.

What will the scheme fund?
The scheme will fund the purchase of capital items and help with the running costs of your group. Examples of this might include play equipment, IT equipment, stationery, phone and broadband connections, volunteer training. The fund will welcome match funded applications but this is not a requirement. Match funding can include ‘in kind’ support such as volunteer time and/or financial support such as income or funding from other sources.
Please note: There is not a guarantee that all applications will be funded, or funded in full, the panel’s decision is final. The panel may also prioritise local groups who have not received funding in previous years.
