Fundraising

Grants are not the only way to achieve funding – BAVO can help and advise you with fundraising activities too.

Fundraising can be an extremely effective way to  raise money, particularly at a time when grant funding stream are becoming increasingly more competitive.

From charity sports events, raffles, sponsored walks, fayres and fetes to coffee mornings, there are lots of fun activities you could consider. We even have donation buckets you can borrow for free if you are hosting public fundraising events. Social fundraising events and activities can also help you engage directly with your donors and develop long term relationships and maybe even lead to legacy funding.

Don’t be caught out though, there are some laws and rules around fundraising, so you may want to check these out.  Our development officers can help or visit the Institute of Fundraising pages.

To get started, take a look at the following fundraising information sheets here.
