Childrens Voluntary Organisations Forum (CVOF)
BAVO facilitates a Childrens Voluntary Organisations Forum (CVOF) which is open to any voluntary or community group whose work involves or covers the 0-10 yrs age range.
Meetings are usually held bi-monthly and enables like-minded groups to come together to discuss issues, strategies, funding and to feed into the planning process by having a voice on the multi-agency Children's Partnership.
Next meeting; 12th October 2009 10am at BAVO offices Maesteg.

Extending Entitlement Network (EEN)
BAVO facilitates an Extending Entitlement Network (EEN) which is open to any voluntary or community group whose work involves or covers the 11-25 yrs age range. It enables groups to discuss wider issues pertaining to Young People as well as local issues affecting young people and or organisations and services working with young people.
Meetings are usually held bi-monthly and they enable like-minded groups to come together to discuss, strategies, funding opportunities and other issues and to also feed into the local planning process by having a voice on the multi-agency Young Peoples Partnership.
Times and venues of meetings vary. Next meetings are; 2nd March 2009, 1st June 2009 and 7th September 2009, all at 10am, venues to be confirmed.

Bridgend County Play Network
Bridgend County Play Network is a network set up for Play Providers and those who influence the development of play opportunities for children and young people between the ages of 5 to 15 years. Bridgend County Play Network is a support system for voluntary, statutory and private sectors, in all matters to do with play. Bridgend Play Network is a Big Lottery Infrastructure Milestone to strengthen Bridgend County’s Play Sector by providing effective communication, active participation and consistent information across all sectors.

The Play Network meets next on 17th September, 10am to 12:30pm, at BAVO Offices, Maesteg. During this meeting we will be hosting a consultation event regarding playwork training in Bridgend. Please support this event as your views and opinions will help with the direction of playwork training in Bridgend.
Bridgend County Borough Council Youth service - website link
The Youth Service in Bridgend County Borough Council is concerned with the fundamental and personal development of young people between the ages of 11-25. The Council's youth service has recently developed a website with lots of useful information regarding their service provision, as well as a 'whats on' guide and career development advice for those considering a career in youth work.
