The Network was established to bring together all community development and neighbourhood workers, paid or unpaid, working in the Bridgend area.

Bridgend Community Development Network

The Bridgend Community Development Network has an open membership to all statutory/public, private and voluntary /community groups that have an involvement in community development issues in the Borough (whether at a local level or Borough wide). Specifically, the Network was established to bring together all community development and neighbourhood workers, paid or unpaid, working in the Bridgend area.

Aims:

Promoting community development within the county borough.
To promote the development of a community development strategy for Bridgend.
To improve the recognition of community development and its inclusion within strategic plans, policy and funding frameworks.
To elect a representative to Community Development Cymru Council who will in turn represent the views of the network to council.
